About
Hello, welcome to my blog! I’m an amateur photographer that simply has a compulsion to document life as I see it. I’m inspired by all types of photography and often enjoy the works of those that are very different than mine but I do tend to gravitate to the street to document the spontaneity of life with the hope of capturing the essence of my subject. That split second that cannot be duplicated can tell us so much about ourselves.
Photography is an escape for me and this blog serves as my creative outlet that allows me to interact and exchange thoughts with so many great people. I think the only thing that stirs my emotions as much as a captivating photograph is music but that is a whole other story.
Thanks for spending some time on my blog and if you have signed up to follow my posts and/or made any comments it is truly appreciated, I love all the feedback.
All the best & happy blogging to all!
Mark
I love your work!!!!!!
I love your comment, it’s very nice of you. Can I ask who this is?
Lovely to meet you Mark. Do feel free to visit my blog when you have a moment or two. 🙂
Your shot’s are great! Especially b&w for me; thank’s for following my blog. By the way, I’m Mark too 🙂
Why thank you Mark and it was my pleasure. And I love the name of your blog.
Hello Mark:
You have a touching way of describing your passion towards photography. I’m also a wannabe photographer and have similar preferences, but you are far more eloquent than I am. I prefer the pictures to write for me.
I plan to follow your work in the future. And thank you for following me.
Best Regards,
Omar.-
Hi Omar. Thank you so much for your very kind words. I really do appreciate you deciding to follow my blog. I hope you’ll find a few photos that you like and feel free to leave your thoughts any time.
HI You have interesting photo blog! I would like to appreciate your pictures from street photography! I would like to get into some street photography too but then i have been shying away from it…. thanks! 🙂
Thank you very much. Street photography can be very intimidating the only way to get more comfortable is to keep going out and trying. You’ll find great conversations can be had and most of the time of someone notices you taking a photo and you show them they are ok with it. Have a great day
You are really talented Mark. Love the way you are able to capture people and their expressions. Its amazing. You are no amateur my friend! Thank you so much for stopping by and following my blog.
You are way too kind and your amazing comment is what helps fuel my passion + meeting up with great people like yourself in the blog world is so wonderful. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time out to let me know what you think and for looking around – I hope we exchange more words in the future. Have a great night 🙂
Hello Mark, I dropped by to thank you for following my blog and have spent a wonderful few minutes looking at your superb images. I was intrigued by your name when I saw it on my blog and wonder if you are related to the illustrious André? Whether or not, you share a remarkable ‘eye’ and I shall be back to later to have another browse. Very best wishes Jane
Hi Jane, following your blog was my pleasure, I’m very happy to have found it. As for your question, I have no relation to the great photographer André Kertesz. I only share his name and I could only wish to have just a small fraction of his talent. Thank you so much for your wonderful comments and also for your knowledge of one of the great photographers we have ever known. Have a great day and hope to speak again in the near future.
I think you most certainly do share some of his talents and not a small fraction either!
🙂
Thank you for following my blog… I checked out your work and I must say that I am truly impressed by your photos… You are very talented and I look forward to viewing more of your pics…
Thank you so much for those kind words. It certainly helps to keep me inspired. All the best and hope we speak soon.
Hi Mark
I must say that you are much more than an amateur photographer. You have a talent for capturing the feelings and emotional expressions of your subjects. Such beautiful work.
You never know how a day will unfold. I certainly don’t expect such a wonderful compliment to come my way so thank you so much for your very kind words. Have a great day :).
Ditto Mark! 🙂
Thank you for following Storyteller. — Ray
Thanks Mark for following our adventures in sailing and photography.
My pleasure.
Happy Canada Day to you and your family, Mark! 🙂
P.S. I’ve just realized that my newest theme on blog is what you have had all this time. I knew that some of my favourite bloggers were using “Nishita”, but couldn’t remember who. 🙂
🙂 🙂 I remember looking at several options when I started and have toyed with others but I always come back to this one. For me it allows the photos to speak and breathe. Hopefully it works for you too. I do pay a little extra to customize the fonts etc.
Photography is a beautiful way to express yourself in minimalist words with great impact!! I just love to experiment with the camera. You have created an amazing space here with assortment of pictures:) Keep clicking Keep Sharing
Cheers 🙂
Your words ring very true! Thanks for taking the time to leave your thought behind! Hope to speak soon.
I like what you do. Noticed the B&W section. There are times that color shots just don’t say it, when a black and white states it better. Good for you.
Thanks so much Ted!! B&W is my favourite! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by
Wonderful website Mark and love your treatment of portraiture B&W. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Emily, thanks so much for taking the time to look around. Have a great day 🙂
My pleasure Mark.
