Sometimes is takes me a little while to come up with a caption but this one just came right away. And of course it’s from one of the best movies of all time.
Thanks Patti, I was hoping the caption would set off a thought process. It also happens to be a line from one of my favourite movies – Goodfellas. Have a great evening!
In keeping with my feelings about clowns there was something tragic in the eyes for me. I just had to take this photograph. Thank you as always for your support.
Hi Jane, this fabulous Seinfeld episode did not even cross my mind but now that you mention it what a great reference and of course a great scene. I’d encourage anyone who has 1min to give this clip a view.
Great shot, Mark. A very nice portrait. To me it looks like a multi-layered photograph – there is a sense of sadness behind the veil of a half-smile, those eyes so full of questions.

Hi Laura, thanks for this but I have to say you have some of the best work I’ve seen. Anybody reading this needs to check out Laura’s blog and follow now!
Wow, thank you so much Mark. I am at a loss for words and that doesn’t happen too often haha. I really appreciate your enthusiasm….it really ignites my fire to always strive to be better. 🙂
Thank you so much for this. To me, while he does appear at first to be happy when I look into the eyes I see much more than happiness, many emotions going on. All the best
There is a rodeo in my home town, and that face looked so familiar in many ways (bull fighting clown), and try as I might I couldn’t get a shot like that ~ very crisp and full of great/happy emotion.
I really like his expression! And his eyes… says almost everything.
An excellent image, Mark.

Hi Malin, his eyes do say so much. They really reveal so much beyond the smile. What great quotes, thanks for passing along. I hope you have a great day! Speak soon
Hi Paula, I have one or two that I do like but usually I like to sit with them for a while and come back to it before I decide to post and for me that process can take a while, too long in my opinion. I will hopefully post in the future however I hope to do another post soon, it’s just been so very hectic for me these days. Thank you once again for stopping by 🙂
I look forward to your posts. I hope it is a good kind of “hectic” 😉
I’m afraid not so much. My work has been taking up far too much time for my liking. I have to learn to step back. Thank you for asking. Have a great day!
Then we are in the same mess. Hope it will change for better. Take care, Mark.
Quite lovely. This is such a rich subject matter. You could fill books with it!
Hi Michael, rich subject matter indeed! Of course one can go on endlessly about clowns and of course the movie from which the caption comes. Thanks a lot for your comment and kind words. Have a great evening!
Most of my stuff is in monochrome so for me it’s was a pretty easy decision. I’m glad you liked this one, I know clowns can freak some people out, including me.
What a great shot.
Hi Vicki, it’s so nice of you to stop by! Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot. Have a great day!
You continue to impress. Love the caption.
Sometimes is takes me a little while to come up with a caption but this one just came right away. And of course it’s from one of the best movies of all time.
A wonderful shot Mark, he certainly invites your question!
Thanks Patti, I was hoping the caption would set off a thought process. It also happens to be a line from one of my favourite movies – Goodfellas. Have a great evening!
That movie is a classic 🙂
I can watch that movie anytime it’s on, I just love it. Thank you so much for your gracious comments.
This made me smile.. what a superb photo!
Is that a question or a threat? You can never tell with clowns. 🙂
To tell you the truth clowns frighten me, I find them disturbing yet I’m drawn in by them. Have a great night!
A beautiful capture Mark, but I agree with you. I was NEVER a fan of clowns, they feel a bit creepy to me. You’ve caught him perfectly!
In keeping with my feelings about clowns there was something tragic in the eyes for me. I just had to take this photograph. Thank you as always for your support.
Are you afraid of clowns? (Seinfeld) Great portrait, Mark.

Hi Uday, exactly my friend! The half smile is in contradiction with what the eyes are actually saying. Have a good day.
what a face and expression 🙂
Thank you Joshi! There is so much to his expression, lots to ponder.

A terrific portrait, Mark 😀
Thank you so much Paula 🙂 It’s really very nice of you to stop by. Have a great night!
It is my pleasure always, Mark. Good night to you.
A beautiful B&W portrait. I wonder why some people are so scared of clowns? This one looks like a friendly clown.
He was very friendly but for me it’s no matter, they will always scare me but at the same time they fascinate me, I’m drawn in by them.
Most definitely amuses me! What a fantastic portrait of this happy fellow!
Thank you so much for this. To me, while he does appear at first to be happy when I look into the eyes I see much more than happiness, many emotions going on. All the best
Great shot…almost like it was a portrait in a studio, very well done.
I’m really glad you like this one. It has turned out to be one of my favourites.

A great capture with beautiful detail!
Hi Andrew. Thank you so much for your wonderful compliment and for taking the time out to look around, it’s much appreciated.
Congrats on the Otto posting ~ hope my vote helps 🙂
That is incredibly nice of you to vote for me, thank you very much :). Have a great day.
An excellent portrait. It’s so rich in details and tones, and you captured a great expression in the clown’s face. Very nice.
Thank you so much Otto! Your comments and feedback mean a lot. Have a great evening. All the best Mark.
Hi Mark, I came to look for new photos (the ones you mentioned on my post). Will you publish them?

Great capture!Excellent details.
Thank you Eden :).
Amazing detail !
Very nice of you to say so. Thanks for taking a look, it’s much appreciated.
I believe it is a brave thing to keep this picture in monochrome. I could never do that 😀
Most of my stuff is in monochrome so for me it’s was a pretty easy decision. I’m glad you liked this one, I know clowns can freak some people out, including me.
haha.. I don’t know if they freak me out 😀
Nice photo! While clowns amuse some, it scares others.. (I actually know somebody who is afraid of clowns.)
Kind regards,
Tieme
I would be one of those. Clowns really do scare me. Thank you for checking out my blog and for your comment.
People not showing their real faces is kind of scary isn’t it? 😉
Cheers,
Tieme
great picture!
Thank you!
