I have been browsing your blog pictures…good images all. This one captured my interest. The door in disrepair, the graffiti, and the Real Estate sign above the door. You image has so many stories – well done.
I’m sure you would! Nicaragua is a beautiful country, great people and incredible scenery, I hope to visit again one day soon. Thanks for looking around and liking some of my photos.
Great detail and contrast; I too like old buildings, doors, broken stuff. Good shot, Mark. Thanks as well for liking my recent “Obscure” posts. Hope to take some “sun” photos soon… later!
If only they could! I can’t imagine what it would be like behind those doors although I’ve often wondered. I can’t express my thanks enough for your comment, speak soon!
Me too! I wanted to go in but did not. You would probably walk right by this place 9 times out of 10. It was located in a crowed alley area with lots of street activity around.
I should have asked how much? I cannot this place was for sale. Thanks again for commenting and glad you like it in monochrome. For me, most images end up in B&W.
For me it depends. I had some times when I shoot nearly everything in BW. Currently I have my color phase. 🙂
As long as you are out with camera in hand it’s all good no matter your preference. At least that’s what I say. Cheers
That’s the reason for my 365 project. Do you know before, if the image will be a BW or do you decide during post processing?
For the most part I think B&W before I shoot so I usually know before hand and for me I find it lends to my style which is generally street documentary. I don’t spend a lot of time in post production. I know that space can become obsessive for some.
That’s true with the obsession. I try to minims it. Max. 1-2 min for the good rated shots. So I have more time to comment blogs and images.
Definitely not the tidiest shelter in the world. Still, contrary to beauty, I sense safety, or nobody in the neighborhood will have a door-ventilation like this, ever. Now that’s handsome. Nice piece, Sir. 🙂
Yes it was a very safe and welcoming environment. Incredible to see something such as this for sale yet that was the case. Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment! All the best to you and have a good day.

Yeah, talk about a major renovation. I wonder what it looked like behind those doors?
Yes. I wonder too.
Nice shot! I’ve spent some time in Nicaragua although don’t think I’ve ever eaten here, pretty sure I’d remember!

This is what I was talking about, the blacks are so strong. It adds a lot of detail and dramatic feel to the picture. Very good work 🙂

Makes me wonder who the buyer was …
